Mexico City
Off the Beaten track

Mexico City is a sprawling metropolis with more than 2000 colonias (neighborhoods)! You may have heard of some popular ones: Roma, Condesa and Centro Historico. However, we would show you 2 overlooked historic colonias: Santa Maria la Ribera and San Rafael. As we explore these colonias, we will provide insight to historical events, local life and more.

We’ll start by having a hot beverage accompanied with our favourite pastry while chatting and getting familiar with the group.

As we enter San Rafael we’ll taste some street food at one of our favourite stands in the neighborhood while learning about its history and architecture.

We’ll continue on to Santa Maria la Ribera to to see the main monument, and stop at a restaurant to try the most traditional dish from Oaxaca (A southeastern state considered to be the culinary capital of Mexico).

As we continue to explore and hopefully make more space in our stomach; we’ll try an ancestral drink called Pulque, one of the most traditional drinks in Mexico.

Before we say our goodbyes we will sit down for a refreshing michelada (alcoholic beverage), as we chat and share our recommendations for this sprawling metropolis!

ATTENTION
*On Sundays, ask for the menu before you book, as we share food that can only be found on this day and there is not much flexibility in what is being offered.

The bike tour is a must! Incredible authentic Mexican food off the beaten path. Raul is an incredible guide and host, taking you to local places that you won’t find on trip advisor or tik tok. All the food he takes you to is included in the price too. He’s so fun and knowledgeable and you truly learn about the history of the city and takes you to places that you’d never go to alone. I recommend doing the tour towards the beginning of your vacation.

Raul and Fernando are the best tour guides in the city! Seriously I highly recommend booking this tour! Biking around Mexico city eating great food hearing interesting stories and meeting really cool people made the best memories! This was easily one of the highlights of my trip and made me feel very safe as a solo female traveler in CDMX! If I'm ever back in cdmx I will definitely stop by to see the guides again and take another tour! They are great people and the tour is a lot of fun!
