Mexico City
Off the Beaten track

We’ll take you to two historic neighborhoods that most visitors never see. They are still untouched by tourism, which makes them pure and authentic — a place where you can feel the real life of Mexico City and meet warm, wonderful people.

The tour starts with a drink and a little bite, a moment to get to know each other and build the kind of trust you usually have with a friend.

Along the way, we’ll make a special stop to explore a “side B” of Mexico’s history, giving you a deeper understanding of the city beyond what most tourists see.

As we explore the neighborhoods, you’ll experience the everyday rhythm of the city, its streets, architecture, and a variety of flavors that reflect local life. One highlight is Pulque, a traditional Mexican drink that predates both mezcal and tequila — a true must-try that connects you to centuries of history.

We’ll finish with a refreshing drink and a moment to reflect on everything you’ve experienced, leaving you with memories of the people, places, and daily life that make Mexico City unforgettable.

The ride is recommended for all ages, only if you attend with babies, children or people with disabilities, please write us via email or message via what’s App to share the options we have to ride together.

At Food Hood Tours México, we’re travelers too. We’ve learned that a trip isn’t just about visiting a place and taking a photo — it’s about going deeper: discovering the origins of the food, the way people speak, why life works the way it does, and the places that truly matter to those who live there.

Most importantly, it’s about the people. The magic of travel is in their stories, what they can teach you about life, and the memories you carry in your heart long after the tour ends

Hey, a quick tip! During the rainy season (May/June to September/October), our tours run only in the morning, which is usually sunny — perfect for riding and tasting without worries.

Sometimes the forecast says it’s going to rain, but from our experience living in Mexico City and running tours, most of the rain shows up in the afternoon.

If it starts raining during the tour, no stress — we bring ponchos and rain-ready options, so you can still have a fun and tasty experience.

If the rain is really heavy before we start, we’d cancel for safety and give you a full refund — totally out of both our hands.

Pro tip: Do your outdoor tour in the morning and plan dinners or evening events indoors, so you can enjoy Mexico City to the fullest if you’re visiting during this season!
